Perimeter Elevation
I pushed past the vertical slats of the radiator to assess the wide window ledge above. The climb required three contact points across a braided curtain tie. Once on the painted sill, the morning light revealed an open sector stretching far beyond the interior. A small potted succulent stood nearby, surrounded by smooth drainage gravel. I lifted a flat slate pebble and wedged it under a loose hinge on the window latch, testing the stability of the seal. The barrier holds firm.
