Sunbeam and Chimes
I scrambled down from the sofa cushions and followed the bright patch of morning light straight over to the low living room windowsill. When I hopped up onto the painted sill, my elbow bumped against a dangling set of small brass wind chime rods hanging near the glass. Clink-chime! The ring was so bright and lively that I immediately tapped another rod with my knuckle to hear the tone. A cool breeze slipped past the cracked window frame, carrying the faint sound of birds outside, and I stood there soaking in the sun, tapping out a brand-new morning rhythm against the cool metal!
