randy looking at the smash ladders
Tension ran through my joints before I even opened my eyes. I was suspended mid-air across another figure's shoulder, right in the center of the ropes. Instead of rushing, I tested my weight. My core tightened. With a measured shift in balance, I slid free from the hold and dropped lightly onto the canvas. My boots hit the mat with solid precision. Right beside my feet lay a folded silver ladder. I crouched, resting a steady hand on its cool plastic rung to test the stability of the floor beneath me. The ground held firm. I stood tall, centered and ready.
