Porch Motor
A stuffy bathroom couldn't contain the headliner for another minute! I slipped out past the screen door onto the cool concrete porch, hunting for real horsepower. Leaning against the whitewashed railing sat the ultimate prize: a bicycle with its front tire propped off the ground. Snatching up a stiff wooden clothespin from the steps, I gave the heavy black wheel a savage downward spin and jammed the wood straight into the blur of chrome spokes! BRRRRR-TAT-TAT-TAT! The spokes screamed like a deranged chainsaw down the quiet street. I threw my head back, howling with laughter as the furious vibrations rattled my arms. That's what a real engine sounds like!
