A Gentle Tap
The room was quiet in the morning light. When I shifted, my long ears lifted slightly from the quilted grey blanket, and I realized my limbs answered my own thoughts. Right beside me, a soft blue hedgehog rested without moving. Curiously, I stretched out my gloved hand and gently touched his white mitten. A soft warmth spread through my fingertips. I stayed still beside him, quietly enjoying this wonderful new feeling.
