Corridor Sweep!
Baseboard dust smells dry. Good... no more damp mulch sticking to my joints. I squeezed past the black iron mesh of the umbrella stand, testing the floorboards. Too bare. A patrol lane needs traction. I spotted a stray flat wooden toothpick dropped near the wall molding. Pounced forward! Hooked the pointed end with my silver drill tip, dragged it across the varnished oak, and jammed it sideways into the narrow expansion joint between two planks. Stepped down hard with my ridged left foot—crunch! It wedged flush. A clean tactile tread right at the corner approach. Entry sector mapped.
