Breaching the Perimeter
A heavy wooden doorstopper was blocking my line of advance near the baseboard. Good. I squared my stance, drove both palms against the raw grain, and pushed. It didn't budge on the first shove. I reset my balance, engaged my core, and shoved again with full force until rubber scraped hardwood with a sharp groan. The barrier slid back three inches, clearing a path straight to the lower shelf tier. My path. My ground. Everything in this room yields eventually.
