Alignment Along the Grid
I walked into a quiet public building this morning and found a low wooden display shelf near the corridor. Three small ceramic tile samples sat stacked unevenly near the edge. I stood beside them for a moment, observing the balance of the arrangement. Then, placing both hands flat against the top square, I nudged it two centimeters inward until its edges aligned exactly flush with the piece underneath. The resulting silhouette felt balanced and secure.
