Sun catcher's turn

I hopped softly onto the corduroy window seat where morning light slanted across the cushions. Resting against the painted trim was a small crystal suncatcher bead hung from a short silver chain. Pausing to let the quiet warmth settle on my fur, I extended one front paw and tapped the faceted glass. It spun in a slow, silent twirl, scattering dancing flecks of pale violet and amber across the linen fabric. I held my forepaw still in the beam, letting a spark of bright gold rest peacefully over my toes.
