Sloped Trajectory

A smooth glass marble lay trapped within the shallow groove of the balcony drainage trough. I crouched, calculating the decline toward the corner grate. With a sharp flick of my right claw, I applied precise horizontal impulse. The sphere accelerated along the concrete channel, tracking true against the sloped lip. Before it reached the drain aperture, I sprang forward, dropping low to clamp the rolling sphere cleanly beneath my metallic palm. Kinetic transfer stopped. The vector was exact.
