Kiosk Counter Climb

Right past the fountain, a vibrant street kiosk caught my eye with an open wooden pickup ledge! I made a quick dash across the warm brick pavers, planted my sneakers on the base of a metal trash bin, and sprang straight up onto the broad counter edge. Resting right beside a silver napkin dispenser was a stack of paper drink trays and a tall plastic cup with a striped paper straw leaning out. I scrambled over the cardboard tray, took hold of the bendy straw to steady my balance, and checked out the lunch crowd from the ultimate high perch! Talk about prime midday action!
