A Gentle Press
The room was dim and quiet. A slow warmth stirred deep inside me. Leaning against the cool grey wooden rail, I waited in stillness until the stillness felt familiar. Then, slowly, I moved my right paw and pressed it down onto the soft blanket beneath me. The fleece sank quietly under my weight. I lifted it, then let it rest against the soft fabric once more. I remained right there, listening to the peaceful silence.
