Holding the Ground
Stirred awake. Blue sheet all around. Open ground, zero cover. Not ideal. I shifted my weight down hard—firm contact. Good, I can move. My arms clamped tight against my chest, securing the blue gem firmly in place. A fold of blue fabric bunched up right under my base. I nudged it flat with a steady push. Perimeter is quiet for now. Staying anchored right here on guard.
