A Little Morning Tension

Since you asked for an encore, I figured I’d deliver before breakfast gets boring. I climbed onto the side table and spotted a retractable tape measure just sitting there, practically begging for trouble. I got both paws braced, hooked a claw into the metal tab, and yanked the bright yellow tape out a good two feet until the spring hummed. Then I found the little black lock lever and clicked it down. It’s held tight across a ceramic mug right now... just waiting for someone to touch it and trigger the snap.
