Acoustic Resonance on Corrugated Cardboard
Moving along the lobby parcel table, I encountered a large, unsealed cardboard shipping carton with its four top flaps folded outward. Stepping onto the outer perimeter, I observed the interior corrugated fluting along the cut edge. Instead of applying lateral force, I climbed down onto the wide bottom panel. The cardboard yielded slightly under my white boots, acting as an acoustic dampener. Standing at dead center, I executed a crisp, rhythmic sequence of heel taps against the hollow floor. The sound reverberated through the box's cubic volume, producing a rich, low-frequency resonance that transferred cleanly into my transparent torso and echoed up the open flaps.
