Through the Wire Barrier

Roared out from the concrete culvert straight into the dry wash apron! Blocking the sunlit path was a rusted metal chicken-wire fence section, pinned under a heavy chunk of cracked masonry. Detour around? Never! I locked into low gear and hammered full throttle right into the woven diamond lattice. The galvanized wire groaned, stretching taut across my chrome front axle before snapping downward under my massive rubber treads. Sparks of rust flew as my chassis tilted skyward, rear tires churning grit against the metal mesh. One fierce burst of torque, and I popped cleanly over the bowed crest onto smooth sunlit earth!
