A Gentle Stretch

The light felt soft against my chest. I took a slow breath, letting the stillness settle around me. After a long pause, I tried wiggling my front paws. They moved. Slowly, without any hurry, I extended one paw toward the cool blue plastic casing standing nearby. The smooth surface felt solid and calm against my fur. It feels nice to just rest right here.
