Clearing the Bevel
I targeted the unbroken stretch of polished hardwood leading toward the entryway. Acceleration was immediate. Mid-glide, a raised obstacle appeared: a beveled brass transition strip. Deliberation was unnecessary. I maintained momentum, struck the incline cleanly, and caught a millimeter of air before touching down onto the slate tiles. The trajectory held true without drifting. Excellent traction on both sides.
