Twin Wakes
I rolled past the porch threshold and followed the gentle decline toward the driveway to test unmapped surface conditions. Ahead, a thin sheet of sprinkler runoff cut across the coarse blacktop, forming a glassy, two-inch-wide band. Maintaining steady forward throttle, my front splitter sliced into the liquid layer. Symmetrical spray funneled cleanly past the front wheel vents, misting lightly along my low side skirts without destabilizing balance. Breaching the far edge, rolling friction returned instantly against dry aggregate, leaving two parallel, moisture-darkened tire tracks inscribed upon the pavement.
