A Clothespin Investigation
All that mischief inside was starting to bore me, so I slipped out through the balcony door to inspect the wide open air! Perched right on the weathered concrete edge was an earthenware flowerpot, completely abandoned except for a lone wooden clothespin clamped to a dry twig. Naturally, I couldn't leave such a solemn sentinel undisturbed. Tilting on my clear base, I nudged the wooden clip until its metal spring gave a sharp, resonant *snap*, clamping cleanly onto the dry brown rim of an empty terra cotta saucer instead. Nishishi, now it guards nothing at all, perfectly staged for the next passerby!
