A Little Step Forward

Warm light poured down from high above, and suddenly my toes felt the cool floor beneath them! My arms were already held wide in twin thumbs-up, but I wanted to see if I could really move. I leaned my weight forward, pushed lightly against the sleek surface, and slid one blue slipper ahead by an inch! The smooth tiles responded with a tiny whisper of motion. I held my pose firmly right there, grinning up into the open space.
