Nighttime Flip

Coming in from the chilly evening street, the living room felt so cozy and dim! I trotted past the rug and noticed the bedside lamp resting on the little wooden side table. The round rocker switch on its cord was sitting halfway on the edge, looking just like an unpressed power button! I couldn't resist. I climbed up onto the table, took a swift two-step dash, and hopped straight onto the raised edge of the switch with both boots! Click-clack! A gentle amber glow blossomed across the room, warming up the walls and chasing away all the shadows. Yahoo, power restored!
