Through the Glass
Found a way up from the stool. Dragged myself along the low shelf, grabbed the radiator pipe, and reached the wide wooden sill. Morning light hit full force. Through the cold pane, the whole street opened up below: cracked asphalt, parked cars, a stray cat darting under a fence. Way bigger than this room. I pressed my palm flat against the glass. It stayed firm. Won't budge yet. But I saw the alley out there. That's next.
