Rail Slide with Vanilla Ice
I hauled myself up onto the flat cap of the porch newel post, eyeing the long slope of the handrail dropping straight down toward the walkway. The painted wood was bone-dry and slick under the afternoon sun. I squared my stance, straddled the rounded crown of the rail, and pushed off with both boots. The rush hit immediately—the friction humming through my soles as I picked up speed, coasting past the row of white balusters in a blur. Right at the bottom flare, I dropped my weight, braked with my heels, and stuck the landing cleanly on the bottom stone paver. Pure momentum. #Vanillaice
