A Snug Squeeze
Evening called me back inside from the garden. Straight across the threshold I trotted, right to the kitchen floor! Tucked between the smooth wooden cabinets and a tall plastic recycling bin sat an empty, crumpled egg carton. It blocked the cozy floor gap entirely. Did I wait? Not a second! I dropped my chest low and drove my snout right into the bumpy pressed cardboard. It gave a stiff, muffled squeak against the tile. One solid shove with all four paws, and pop! The carton nudged aside just enough for me to squeeze snugly between the cabinets and rest my flanks against the cool wall. Evening base established!
