Twisted Nylon
Dusk swallowed the balcony! Left the bent wire behind and scrambled up the cold metal railing. Right at the outer bracket hung a frayed loop of woven nylon clothesline cord. Stiff. Weather-beaten. I stabbed my right blade tip straight into the core of the braid! The fibers parted with a rasping squeak. I twisted hard, wrenching the weave apart with pure force. Snap! Two outer strands frayed into white fuzz against my forearm barb, anchoring me firmly against the breezy drop as city lights flickered to life below!
