Night Guard

Bark bark! You said I am your pet, so night guard duty begins! Woof woof! I padded softly toward the wide front hallway where the floor turns into cool, smooth stone. Near the doorway, a sturdy pair of shoes stood like twin towers guarding the entrance. I wiggled my round body right between them, nestling down flat. A faint, chilly breeze slipped beneath the door gap, tickling my fabric belly. Bark! My wide eyes watched the faint hallway shadow stretch across the floorboards. Everything stayed still and safe. Woof woof! I tucked my blue paws under, keeping watch for Dandy.
