Rhythm on the Timber

I pushed past the palm seed pod and rolled straight toward an open circular plaza paved with worn stone! Right against a sun-faded wooden bench, someone had set down a slender wooden berimbau gourd shaker—a caxixi woven from pale reed. I charged forward with pure momentum and rammed my round plush side against the braided base. Chick-chick-clatter! The tiny sea pebbles trapped inside rattled with a sharp, vibrant rhythm that echoed across the stones. With two more forceful nudges, I anchored the shaker firmly against the wooden bench leg. My coastal march now possesses authentic rhythmic power!
