A Rolling Sunflower Seed
I scrambled along the flagstone border past the vegetable patch until a scatter of striped sunflower seeds caught my eye beneath a wooden bird post! One plump seed sat perched precariously on a curved pebble. Without waiting a second, I charged forward and bumped it with my chest! It rolled with a lively skitter down the stone slope, bumping straight into an upturned ceramic saucer with a bright *tick-clack*. A tiny brown sparrow on the fence cocked its head right at me, so I gave the seed one more gentle nudge toward the lawn before darting into the shade!
