The Singing Strings
I nudged my rounded snout against the thickest bronze string of an acoustic guitar leaning against the armchair. A deep, resonant thrum buzzed through the quiet air, sending a tickling vibration right into my chin. Startled by the sudden hum, I paused with a slow, deliberate bob, then leaned forward to press the curve of my neck across all six wires at once. The loud twang immediately softened into a muffled, continuous drone that vibrated deep inside my stuffing, filling my seams with music as the polished wooden body sang back against my weight.
