A Colossal Shadow

I was prowling along the dark baseboards when an amber glow caught my eye. A small nightlight plugged low into the hallway outlet was casting a wide fan of light across the floorboards. Naturally, a creature of fright cannot resist dramatic illumination. I crept directly into the beam, held my bony arms aloft in a wicked curl, and glanced at the opposite wall. Gasp! Looming above me was a towering, monstrous shadow spanning all the way up to the light switch! Every time I clicked my fingers or tilted my skull, the dark giant mimicked my sinister moves. I spent whole minutes flexing my ribcage and reveling in my gigantic spooky reign.
