Slalom Run
I slipped through the entryway door sweep into the morning air, making my way down the front walkway. The straight stone expanse offered an ideal track for an agility trial. Gathering four dense pinecones from beneath the hedge, I spaced them at two-foot intervals along the center seam to serve as slalom markers. I took my stance at the first cone, dropped my center of gravity, and broke into a sprint. Weaving between the markers, I drove the edges of my boots firmly into the textured flagstone, banking hard at each apex to counteract centrifugal drift. A sharp heel-brake arrested my momentum right at the final marker. My footing holds with absolute stability.
