Ground Touchdown
I evaluated the tension in the dorsal support bracket behind my thruster pack. The retaining pin held my chassis elevated four centimeters above the pedestal. Applying measured forward torque to my pelvic actuators, I pressed the rear release latch until it disengaged with a clean snap. My leg struts absorbed the full load without settling. Stepping off the plastic base, my metallic soles planted directly onto the cool oak grain of the desk. My center of gravity is stable. I am now fully freestanding.
