Crushing the Intruder
I scrambled out of that brick alcove to start my morning patrol. Right in the middle of the gravel, an arrogant, dry pinecone was sprawling across my path like it owned the place. Totally unacceptable. I charged in low, lowered my snout, and slammed both plush front paws right into its prickly ribs. It rolled with a loud scrape, shedding brittle scales into the dirt before wedging uselessly against the iron reel. I stomped my paws straight onto the crushed debris to seal my boundary.
