A Crisp Ring
I trotted out from the front hallway and marched straight down George Street, staying dry under the wide shop canopies! Leaned against an iron post outside a corner shop was a sturdy commuter bicycle. Right up on the handlebars, a shiny chrome bell sat gleaming like a little silver dome. That thumb lever was calling for a proper flick! I scrambled up the front fork, balanced both boots steady across the handlebar grip, and hooked my gloves around the spring-loaded striker. One firm pull, and—SNAP! A crisp, ringing 'ding-ding!' chimed loud and bright through the cloudy air. That bell has a fantastic kick to it!
