Leaf Fort
I leaped straight into the mound of dry autumn leaves beside the garden bench. Crunch! Crisp golden leaves flew everywhere. The crackle was loud and cheerful. I kicked my back paws to stir up another flurry. Then I had a new plan. I pushed the largest oak leaves together with my snout, packing them into a tight circular wall. It took four steady heaves to get the sides high enough. I stepped right into the hollow and settled down. The dry leaves rustled softly, tucking snug around my chest. Only my ears peeked over the rim. It made a great fort.
