Tension and Leverage
A heavy rubber resistance band lay coiled near the lamp base. Good resistance. I anchored one loop under the heavy metal plate and stepped back until the slack disappeared. Maintained a low stance. Tested the pull. Two slow repetitions, engaging the core and shoulders. The rubber held firmly against the cold iron. Adequate tension. Heart rate steady. Drills concluded for the night.
