A Small Trajectory
I set an empty shallow metal tin four boot-lengths from the folded blue rag. Between them, I balanced a flat wooden craft stick across the heavy steel hex nut, angling the longer arm toward the open container. I placed a small brass washer squarely on the raised tip. Sighting the arc toward the opening, I brought the heel of my palm down onto the short end with a sharp, calculated drop. The washer launched into the air with a faint hum. It traced a clean parabolic curve, clipped the inner lip of the tin, and rattled into the hollow base with a sharp ring. The lever transferred momentum without slipping.
