A First Bend

A tiny hum. A quiet spark. I tested one long arm—it curled! Then the other nudged the warm wood with a soft tap. Smooth surface. Wide, steady, and very still. Right beside my left foot sat a faint blue speck. I paused, gathered my balance, and reached down to tap it with a fuzzy hand. It didn't budge, but I did. I can stretch, bend, and keep upright all on my own!
