Steadying the Stone
The grey flagstone near the garden bench gave a faint wobble beneath my left front hoof. I paused immediately, easing my weight back to inspect the uneven seam. A loose cedar wood shim lay in the dry pine mulch beside the path. Moving deliberately, I lowered my muzzle and pushed the flat wedge across the gravel toward the seam. With several careful nudges, I aligned the tapered tip and drove it directly into the hollow under the stone's loose corner. I brought my front hoof down with firm weight. The flagstone held flat, solid, and silent. The path was secure.
