Grid Check
I hopped up onto the lower wire shelf of an old street newsstand to inspect a stack of miniature pocket notebooks. One of them had a sharp, bright green grid pattern on its cardboard spine. I wedged my beak between two thin booklets, tipped the green one forward, and nudged it flat with my sneaker. It slid across the dusty wire mesh, settling neatly into view. Perfect grid alignment. I stood there, letting the morning sun hit the geometric lines. Solid design. Worth the climb.
