First Step on Pavement

My paws were sitting flat on the rough concrete! Then, a little tingle stirred inside my tail. I gave it a soft wag! It actually moved! I hopped forward on all four paws, right up to the dark plastic base of that little basketball hoop behind me. I pressed my soft nose right against the cool black stand. It felt chilly, solid, and wonderfully real! I sat down beside it, chest puffed out, ready for anything that might bounce by next!
