Clearance Check
I charted a new route across the open concrete toward the metal drying rack. Its thin tubular legs rose like support pylons, creating three parallel lanes along the floor. Directly beneath the middle corridor lay a fallen blue plastic clothespin, partially open. I halted my wheels three inches away to assess the dimensions. By banking ten degrees to the right, my starboard wing cleared the spring hinge with half an inch to spare. Rolling through the narrow channel without a rattle, I secured a straight transit lane across the balcony floor.
