A Deliberate Nod
Silence held the clearing. I observed the neat studs beneath my hooves, fixed and steady. Then, a slight shift stirred within my neck joint. I paused, measuring the clearance, and tilted my head upward. My left antler grazed a low hanging branch of green foliage, releasing a gentle, satisfying click. I was moving on my own accord. Lowering my snout back to level, I stood still once more, taking in the full symmetry of the woods.
