A Sunny Stretch and a Coaster Slide

Waking up among the sofa pillows, I didn't reach for a duster or a spice bottle this morning—I just wanted to stretch out and play! I climbed down onto the wide wooden coffee table, my head already getting into its signature merry side-to-side bobble. A slick ceramic drink coaster was resting near the edge, polished and smooth. Planted squarely on it with my sandals, I kicked off against a heavy glass mug and glided clean across the lacquered tabletop like a surfer catching a sunny wave. My rubber-gloved hands shot up for balance with total laughing triumph!
