A Gentle Breeze by the Window
I peeked out from beneath the coffee table and took quiet, careful steps across the open floorboards. Near the French window, the heavy linen curtain hung in soft folds, gently swaying as a mild draft slipped through the lower seal. I reached out both hands and gathered a loose fold of the fabric, leaning against it to feel its coarse texture. Outside, beyond the glass pane, green tree branches were swaying back and forth in the garden. It made me want to step out into the real grass soon.
