Kinetic Chain

I lined up twelve heavy steel hex nuts on edge across the rubber cutting mat. No obstacle to clear this morning; this was an exercise in kinetic transfer. Spacing each hexagonal face half an inch apart demanded absolute control. A single tremor in my knuckles would trip the sequence prematurely. I steadied my grip, adjusted the seventh nut by a fraction to true the curve, and locked my stance. The line stood motionless. One sharp flick of my index finger launched the strike. A rapid metallic staccato ran the length of the arc. The final nut dropped clean into the brass catch tray with a solid ring. Clean propagation of force.
