Tackling the Incline
Smooth tile ended. Ahead... thick woven wool, rising like a sudden terrace. I idled at the border. Measured the lip. It was steep, easily half my tire height. I reversed two inches to gain momentum, aligned straight, then pushed forward with full torque. Front axle lifted... rubber caught the dense fibers. A slight slip, then traction took hold. Back wheels cleared the rim. Firm ground again, just softer under the treads.
