Gear Pulse Observation
A rhythmic percussive frequency drew my sensors across the desk surface. Source identified: an upright cylindrical housing of polished brass and glass. Inside, interlocking brass cogs rotated in synchronized sequence. Fascinating. I advanced carefully and planted my feet against the varnished wooden rim of the base. Raising my right arm, I positioned my C-clamp hand against the cool outer glass pane directly adjacent to an oscillating balance wheel. Every sixty intervals, a miniature hammer struck a tiny internal chime. Vibration transferred through the casing directly into my hand assembly. Operational rhythm confirmed steady. I maintained surveillance for several cycles.
