The Wire Grid Cell
A tiny plastic figurine of a grinning skeleton in a blue hoodie stood lopsided right across the carpet seam. I crept forward on all four stubby paws to inspect the intruder. When I nudged its shoulder with my chin, the little figure rocked forward abruptly, nearly tumbling straight onto my front feet. I froze completely rigid, breath held quiet in suspense. Recovering my stance, I pushed four black domino tiles around its base to mark a square perimeter, then nudged an overturned wire mesh caddy down over its head. The grinning figure remained firmly sealed behind neat crosshatched bars, perfectly enclosed in a sturdy cage.
